Contribution to the health industry
When MMM startedin Puerto Rico at the beginning of the millennium, introduced a new way to meet the health needsof the Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries establishing for the first time in the island, the Medicare Advantage segment. Each year in MMM we continue to evolve as an avant-garde and dynamic entity, where we established quality standards that have been worthy of recognition at local and national level.
We continuously drive pioneering projects that involve both providers and members in the use of technology and innovative concepts like InnovaMD portal and application, SMART Paper, MMM mobile application, Office Advantage Rewards, our sensitivity platform, Unidad Dorada, Multi-Specialty Clinics, Caregivers Program and much more.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) contract MMM as the first Medicare Advantage plan in Puerto Rico.
MMM’s first member.
MMM covers all 78 municipalities of Puerto Rico. The Golden Foundation and the Patitas Calientes community program are established.
Member number 100,000.
MSO is established to provide administrative support to medical groups.
MMM’s Sensitivity Platform is launched, and the first Members Club opens in Manatí.
MMM Holdings is recognized as one of the 20 Best Employers in Puerto Rico. InnovaMD, an exclusive online portal for health care providers, is launched.
MMM’s tenth anniversary with the “Centenarians” campaign honoring more than 150 members aged 100 or older. The Primary Medicine Support Centers (CAMP) debut.

The Integrated Mental Health Department is established at MSO to provide services to MMM members.

A new personalized care unit opens for hospitalized MMM members at Mayagüez Medical Center.
This Golden Unit speeds up emergency room service and strengthens coordinated care for patients requiring hospitalization.
MMM Healthcare achieves the highest score obtained by any Medicare Advantage plan in Puerto Rico and the United States for 2017 in a CMS audit.
For the second consecutive year, MMM earns 4.5 stars and remains the standard in coordinated care in Puerto Rico.
For the third consecutive year, MMM establishes itself as the only plan to achieve 4.5 stars and maintain the highest standard in coordinated care in Puerto Rico.
MMM opens its fourth Golden Unit, this time at the Metro Pavía hospital in Santurce.
MMM opens its seventh Members Club in Hatillo.
MMM creates and strengthens a series of exclusive programs for its members with direct home delivery during the COVID-19 emergency, including everything from food, groceries, and medications to much more.
MMM celebrates 20 years caring for the health and well-being of more than 720,000 members.
The sixth Golden Unit is established to serve members in the northern region at Manatí Medical Center.
